I can see by the label on the insole, I received several sizes larger than I ordered, so I had to return them unworn. This was a replacement pair for Birkenstock Arizona in black suede with white/cream shearling liner; which are still good 10 years later, but the lighter shearling lining wore down to the insole. I’m sad those aren’t available in my size anymore and apparently these in black/black aren’t either.I can vouch for the sandals, Arizona Shearling line is aces, but not the listed sizes, they’re way off. For example, I wear a 9.5 in US Women’s, a 40 in EU/UK, translates to 7 in Men’s (for a Birkenstock unisex sandal like these). Birkenstock uses the EU system = I’m a 40 regular leaning narrow, but these have adjustable straps). It’s rare sellers list those EU sizes. They use non-standard charts and ranges - equivalents that are often wrong or too broad. Like, I ordered a Women’s 9.5-10 and received size 43 (3 sizes too large). Or, I order a 7 and receive a 41 Wide (still too big). I think it’s best to determine your Birkenstock size in person, then order that by EU sizing. Or, be prepared for a lot of trial and error/returns due to size conversion errors in listings.I guess I’ll send my pair in to a Birkenstock repair specialist and have them resoled and re-lined? Estimate: $70. I noticed some less popular colors go on sale for $75 though, new. Like a pink suede or a forest green, or oil rubbed iron… Tough call.
