I'm 5'2"155 poundsI carry my weight in my thighs and rear. My measurements are as follows:Ankle 9"Calf 16" Mid thigh 23"Upper thigh 28" Hips 43”Waist 30” The XXL in the TOELESS style is what fit me in the Skyfoxe compression. They are not opaque - i will have to wear wear yoga pants over them, or skirts or a long sweater.I have POTS and was recently diagnosed w/ EDS and Fibromylagia.I was told to get high-waisted compression stockings to help with symptoms. I’m exhausted from my physical symptoms and from trying oncompression. So here’s 1 review on multiple items because I can only type this out once. Hopefully this will help anyone with a similar body type to mine. The sizing for compression makes absolutely no sense, and what fits in 1 style of 1 brand may not fit in another style of the same brand. Here’s what worked for me: * Skyfoxe "Medical Compression Pantyhose for Women Men - Opaque Compression Stockings 20-30mmHg" size XXLBrand: SKYFOXE *** in the Toeless style (covers most of the foot)Color: Open Toe BlackThese run extremely small, but they actually have space for your butt, and for your crotch, so it doesn’t sag down between your thighs. You can actually pull them up and into place as if you’re a three dimensional being! I ordered these in the footless option, and with the foot (toeless). The footless option is not cut the same, and the rear/crotch is not the same. It’s a much smaller panel, and the pants are much much longer.Only the Toeless leggings fit me well, in XXL.The compression on the foot is fairly loose on me because i have thin feet compared to the rest of my legs, so i fold over part of it and it works fine. I wear socks over them anyway.https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07TBZPDDH?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image——————————————— * Terramed “Extra Firm Footless Graduated Compression Microfiber Leggings Opaque Pants (20-30 mmHg) with Control Top (Medium) “Brand: Terramed Just Think ComfortThe medium is what fits me.The large did not give adequate compression, and fit more like a tight pair of yoga pants. These are thicker, warmer, and only slightly see-through on my thighs if i bend over or squat. It has built-in undies to keep your nether region opaque. Of course, since I have a booty, when i bend over, you can see the built-in underwear if there’s decent lighting. I didn’t have this problem with the large, but the large is useless to me because it doesn’t give me the compression i need. . ....What DID NOT work for me: * Terramed Advanced Graduated Compression Leggings Women - 20-30 mmHg Footless Microfiber Leggings Tights (Black, Large) These did NOT work for me.The crotch area is too small, and they were made for someone with thin thighs and a small behind.I couldn’t pull them up high enough and into position because of this. So the crotch of the pants always hung low. Can’t do any splits with those on.The compression on the rest of my legs were great, but they kept sliding down due to the tiny crotch area. ——————————————-* “Absolute support” brand leggings did not fit me correctly. The large was too small at the rear and crotch (same problem as 1 style of the terrameds i mentioned above). The crotch area is so tiny, so you can’t actually pull them up all the way. Then the XL was too big at the waist and even around my rear and thighs. As if i was wearing regular hosiery. .... ********Tips for wearing and maintaining compression stockings (because i wish someone told me this at the beginning)******* ***Wear “donning gloves” when putting on your compression (I use rubber dish gloves) and watch a couple of Youtube videos to learn how to do it right. It’s way too easy to tear or scratch the fabric, causing runs in the fabric, because they’re so damn tight it’s hard to get a grip on them. The rubber gloves protect the fabric from your nails, and make it easier to put them on and to smooth them out. (Trust me. I nearly punched myself in the face when i lost my grip trying to pull up a pair). ***Don’t try to put them on while you are still wet. Don’t use lotion before putting them on. You ever see that episode of “Friends” when Ross wears leather pants on a date, and goes to the bathroom? If not, google “Ross wears leather pants “ and it’ll come up. THAT is what you’ll be dealing with. ********* Wash them daily in cool or lukewarm water with mild detergent (i use dawn dish soap) , and hang to dry. Do NOT wring them out. You can gently roll and pat them on a dry towel before hanging them up to dry. If you can’t wash them daily, then definitely every other day. Washing them helps them to maintain their shape instead of stretching out and getting stuck that way. *******When you get new stockings/leggings , -wash them, pat them dry, loosely fold them, then put them into a ziplock bag and stick them in the freezer. -Once frozen, take them out and rest them on a towel so they defrost (do not try to unfold while frozen). -Once defrosted, hang them to dry. You only have to do this once. It’s to strengthen the fibers in the fabric and help them last longer. I don’t know why it works, but everything i’ve read and been told says to do this so i’m not taking any chances. The XXL in the footless style is terrible. It’s meant for people with extremely long and thin legs, with thin thighs and small bums. The crotch panel is so tiny, so you can’t pull them up all the way into the correct position.I'm 5'2"155 poundsI carry my weight in my thighs and rear. My measurements are as follows:Ankle 9"Calf 16" Mid thigh 23"Upper thigh 28" Hips 43”Waist 30” Now, the XXL in the OPEN TOE/TOELESS style is what fit me in the Skyfoxe compression.Neither version is truely opaque.I have POTS and was recently diagnosed w/ EDS and Fibromylagia.I was told to get high-waisted compression stockings to help with symptoms. I don’t know why it works, but everything i’ve read and been told says to do this so i’m not taking any chances.I am 5’9 and when I wore the pantyhose there was so much extra length I had to bunch up the excess either up top in the thigh area or down low at the ankle. Both were very uncomfortable, as compression stockings compress even more when doubled or tripled overI’ve normally ordered 2x or 3x compression hose. This time I ordered 4x thinking to have a little more room incase I have more swelling due to lymphedema. Wow…. These are definitely not true to size or even a normal size. They barely went to my knees. I even broke a nail. I’m sad because I was keeping these brand new hoping to wear for a special occasion today & now it’s too late to even return. I know USA sizes are more accurate but I’m telling you this is horrible. What a waste of moneyAlthough I haven’t actually used them yet, handy to know I have them if I need them. Should be useful for walking along the beach with thongsDemasiado pequeñas ?
